Trafford Centre Part Two - Pop Up Fashion Shows 16/03/2012
So I got another call from my old pal Brett Claxton from the Trafford Centre TV.
I rocked up with my Z1 and filmed a day of 'Pop up Fashion', Dancers basically pop up in front of a top brand shop, casually then performs a stylistic dance/catwalk with items featured in the store behind them as their costume. It attracted a crowd at most of the stores, which made it enjoyable and fairly exciting to capture.
Have a Look at the shots to get an idea of what exactly these Pop up fashion shows do. I had the pleasure of spending a day with Brett and Simon at TCTV, John and Jason from Steadicam-facilities. Jason and John brought over a wireless signal so they were able to film Live around the shops enabling the food court viewers to see it on the big screen.
I was so busy on the day I never got any decent pictures of the shows as I was busy filming :( but follow the links and have a look at what was there!
Also dont forget to 'Like' and show your support on FB and twitter your watch, like or subscription on Vimeo and youtube will help too :)

The secret flashmob shoot in the Trafford centre 1/3/12
So I have only 45 minutes ago de-rigged at the Trafford centre, Salford 6th form dance students have just performed to 250/300 people as a surprise!
It was the quickest shoot I have done rolling for a max of 5 minutes, I set my Z1 as a wide on the boat above the stage and then shot around the balconies with my 5D, with three other camera men.
Supposedly Granada will be showing it on the news today so I hope my footage was worth something. This job was scored for me by Brett Claxton it was a pleasure to be back working with the guy as it's been a good three years since the last time we were making a music video at university.

Filming Bass Ventura 21/02/12
As I will probably often rant about Hub Sessions over the next few months, I've started with a warning. That was it.
So I have been down at Hub bar Leicester again shooting yet another selection of bands, some Jazz and some epic lines from Leicesters very own Bass Ventura! I forgot to mention in my last blog that I have been filming this guy with Jonny from Onefiftyone films this week. Bass Ventura! Be sure to check him out he is a very friendly man with the speed in his words I must say.
Bass did an up close and personal welcoming clip to people down to the Hub bar Leicester!
Jonny used his 7D as you can see he his virtually humping Bass with his fat glass.
I use my 5D on these shoots and it's becoming a re-occurring decision on all my shoots. The quality of the footage is just incredibly addictive. We made him a longer video which truely shows his incredible talent, he really did capture our full attention. Here it is....
There's a few to keep you busy! I'm going to be revealing my secret shoot that I will be filming on up in Manchester tomorrow ;)

February is always a great month
Another day of searching for work, waiting for a call from Blood Sweat and Gears to film some Motorcross or Fat Dog Film to film some corporates. I still worked the pub to try keep the car on the road and beer to drink. My Fight Reel work had really kicked off and had become a comfortable quality to relax, gaining a few quotations here and there and then my main client had to part ways unfortunately.
Out of this Event Reel was born on a whim one night, I gained the confidence to start 'doing' instead of 'procrastinating' over ideas....
Im sure some people can relate to this!
Anyhow I'll get on with why I started this blog,
This month I have teamed Event Reel with PPV to create a Spring Season 2012 Video that has developed to be a video to play on their stall like this. We are now planning the rest of the years video catalogues.
This is Sophie Louise Smith of PPV modelling her clothes. PPV SS/12 They are a fantastic couple and very enthusiastic!
Oli Kiss the other half of PPV really worked hard to create their stall a good looking image. He also takes the photos for their ebay and ASOS shops.

Picture is of me shooting Cats who fish Collective. Some excellent Jazz musicians doing a great job at what they clearly love.
Plenty of Videos coming in March 2012 to show you all! Hopefully my blogging skills will improve but for now hope you enjoy!
